How to play Wordrush

  1. Each player holds seven letter tiles. Two of those tiles are blank and can stand for any letter.
  2. The first play must cover the star in the centre of the board.
  3. Play at least two tiles in a straight line. Later plays must touch a tile already on the board.
  4. Every word you form must be in the Wordrush dictionary, including any extra words made across your play.
  5. Land on premium squares for extra points: double and triple letter squares raise that letter, double and triple word squares raise the whole word. A square only pays the first time it is covered.
  6. Use all seven tiles in one turn for a 50 point bonus.
  7. You can swap tiles instead of playing, as long as at least seven tiles remain in the bag.
  8. When the bag is empty and one player has no tiles left, or everyone passes twice in a row, the game ends and each player loses the value of the tiles left on their rack.
